I Finished My Project!

I'm absolutely ecstatic because I finished my "A Shot A Day Project"!  The goal was to shoot, and post at least one image everyday for a month.  I very much enjoyed shooting everyday, and I definitely feel I improved my photography in that time frame.  The picture, shown above, was my favorite from the project.  It was incredibly difficult to shoot everyday while dealing with life's woes, but nevertheless I finished.

While I'm still hot, I'm going to roll with the momentum and start two new projects.  The first is a "Black & White Only" project.  I'll only take B&W shots for the next two weeks.  The second project, running concurrently, is called "52 Weeks".  It was inspired by the flickr group of the same name.  This is a long term project where I will take one self-portrait every week for one year. I've already started both as shown at right.

I like doing these projects as it gives me a way to spark my creativity.  I haven't blogged much this past month because I was busy shooting - which is a good thing.  The mandatory O.T. is over, but they just hit us with the bad news that some of us will be laid-off.  If I'm one of the unlucky ones then it'll give me a chance to shoot as much as I want.  I had been planning on getting my business started shooting weddings next year.  So, if I get hit then it'll be sooner than later.  Sometimes a loss of job can be a good thing...we'll soon see.
