In Front Of The Camera
Self-PortraitI recently decided to do a self-portrait. It was weird being on the other side of the camera. I mean, I've been photographed before, but playing editor for my own picture wasn't that easy.
While doing my "A Shot A Day" project I found myself pictureless. So, I thought to myself maybe I can do a self-portrait. It was late(for me 9:30pm), but I couldn't fail in the final hours. At the last minute, I pulled out the SB-600, eBay wireless trigger, and a silver reflector. The D40 was set to manual as I pulled the trigger, recomposed, and made the necessary adjustments for a halfway decent portrait shot.
The shot I chose was OK, but I had a hard time picking the best shot. Being in front of the camera is a little harder than I thought. I now have a new respect for the models that I have photographed.
