Using Photomatix to Create HDR's

For a while now, I've wanted to try HDR photography. HDR stands for High Dynamic Range. In image processing, computer graphics, and photography, high dynamic range imaging (HDRI or just HDR) is a set of techniques that allows a greater dynamic range of luminance between light and dark areas of a scene than normal digital imaging techniques. The intention of HDR is to accurately represent the wide range of intensity levels found in real scenes ranging from direct sunlight to shadows.*

I've fell in love with HDR's recently! I find them useful when shooting sunsets, or any other scene with a lot of contrast. Last weekend I went to the city (San Francisco) to shoot some HDR's and a few night shots.

The program that I use to convert the images to an HDR is called Photomatix. Using Photomatix is pretty straight forward. I won't get into the details now, but I will post a more in-depth explanation in the near future.
