iPod Touch - 2nd Generation

I bought the new iPod Touch recently, and I have to say, it really is "the funnest iPod ever"! Apple upgraded the iPod Touch by making it thinner, adding volume buttons, and a speaker.

The new iPod is priced lower than its predecessor when it debuted. Amazon.com has it for about $219, but I couldn't wait a week to receive it. So, I went to Best Buy and picked it up for $229 plus tax. What I like most about the 2nd gen Touch is the applications. One can download games and apps from iTunes for under $10. I especially like the wi-fi feature. I can go to a local Starbucks and surf the web, get local weather, sports updates, or traffic info. Another nice feature that's photography related is the ability to store images. I can take my favorite pics with me and scroll through them. The Touch allows me to zoom in and out of the pictures.

I like to use the iPod Touch when I exercise. It's fully compatible with the Nike + iPod system. I picked up the Nike Sport Kit for only $29.99 at Best Buy. The Touch wirelessly connects to the accelerometer and logs your time, pace, distance, and calories burned. It also provides voice feedback on your progress.

The new iPod Touch (2nd generation) is a great gadget. I highly recommend getting one to those that like music, movies, games, and surfing on the go. I can't live without mine now!
